HBsAg Quantitative

Hepatitis Bs Antigen (Quantitative) assay is a diagnostic test for assessing the amount of the Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in chronic Hepatitis B patients.

The quantitative electrochemiluminescence immunoassay determines the HBsAg levels expressed in international units (IU)/mL and is widely used as an additional tool assisting clinicians to monitor chronic Hepatitis B (CHB) patients’ response to antiviral Therapy. Hepatitis Bs Antigen (Quantitative) is ordered together with HBV DNA for identification of inactive carriers and for assessing risk of disease progression in CHB.
